Day 5 : Kandy to Nuwara Eliya by train (4 Hours)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be travelling to Kandy Railway Station. Please take note that usually, we secure 1st class tickets for all of our clients, although carriages with air conditioning may only be available for certain ones. Unfortunately, due to the high demand for tickets, trains are often cancelled and it can be difficult to acquire them until we get the actual tickets in hand.
In the event that train seats are unavailable, this leg of the journey can be completed by car.
Later, embark on a day of exploration in the hills, starting with a visit to a tea factory post-breakfast. Delve into the intricate process of tea production before moving on to a tea estate village. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, check in at the hotel and take the next few hours to unwind and relax and then proceed for the Nuwara Eliya City Tour including markets & Gregory Lake. Day 08 : Yala to Beruwala
After breakfast, check out and prepare to head to the beach resort. On the way, visit the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe, a rehabilitation center for orphaned and injured elephants run by the Department of Wildlife Conservation. Here, you can witness the heartwarming sight of young elephants being fed and cared for as they prepare for their eventual release back into the wild.
